Q.  Can I put it in the oven?

A.  The following are safe for use in the oven -

Q.  Is it dishwasher safe?

A.  The following are safe for use in the dishwasher - (always follow manufacturers instructions)
          Pillivuyt Porcelain
          Emile Henry Cookware & Tableware

          Bormioli Rocco Glassware

Q.  Can I buy spare lids?

A.  Yes, most products have spart parts available to purchase seperately.

Q.  Can I buy a new handle for my SKK pans?

A.  Yes, handles, grips & knobs are all available to purchase seperately.

Q.  Will the handle get hot?

A.  SKK handles will not get hot on the hob, however they will be very hot if used in the oven. De Buyer handles will get hot with prolonged use, care should always be taken when handling hot pans.

Q.  Is the SKK Glass lid overproof?

A.  Yes, the SKK lid is made from Pyrex, which is ovensafe.

Q.  Can it go from freezer to the oven?

A.  The following are safe for freezer to oven/microwave usage -
          Pillivuyt Porcelain
          Emile Henry
          Chomette Table & Cookware

Q.  Can it be put on a naked flame?

A.  The following are safe for use on a naked flame -
         All pans
         Pillivuyt with unglazed base on a heat diffuser (available from most good cookshops)
         Flame Cookware from Emile Henry (without diffuser)

Q.  Can it be used in/on an Aga?

A.  Yes, all our cookware can be used in or on an Aga, however this is likely to discolour the surface over time.

Q.  Can I leave food in my SKK pan overnight?

A.  You should only do this with SKK Premium Plus as it has a special anti-corrosion layer.

Q.  Can I use it on a BBQ?

A.  The following are safe for use on a BBQ -
          Emile Henry Grill Pan
          De Buyer Chesnut Pan for Open Flame

Q.  Will it work with my Induction cooker?

A. The following will work with Induction -
         SKK Triply
         SKK Induction
         Most De Buyer pans (double check individual ranges)
         Emile Henry Flame (with the induction plate)

Q. Does the SKK non stick coating contain silicone or PFOA (Perfluoroctanoic acid)?

A.  No it does not. All SKK coatings comply with the German Federal Health Authority (BGA) and the Food & Drug Administration (FDA) of the USA.

Q.  What does "Limited Lifetime" mean with the Guarantee?

A.  It means that SKK guarantee that the thermacore base will not warp or crack during its lifetime.
